The goal of ergotherapy (occupational therapy) is the correct execution of everyday activities as well as self-determined participation in all aspects of sociocultural and professional life. This is achieved by improving, restoring or compensating for the impaired abilities and functions. In addition to suitable exercises, aids are used to adapt the patient’s environment to their remaining abilities and thus achieve optimum rehabilitation.
